Privacy Policy
The short version: AI Video Upscaler+ runs on your own PC. Your source videos, your upscaled output, your screenshots and your app preferences are stored on your hard drive — not on our servers, because we don't have any that hold your content. Below is exactly what that means in practice.
AI Disclosure
What AI Video Upscaler+ does
AI Video Upscaler+ is a Windows desktop application that improves the quality of videos you already have. You provide a video file, and the app increases its resolution, sharpens and restores detail (including faces), and can optionally generate additional in-between frames to raise the frame rate for smoother motion.
The processing itself — upscaling, detail restoration, and frame interpolation — runs entirely on your computer. The page you're using right now to control the app (whether it's open in a browser or inside the app's own window) is only a remote control for the desktop program running on your PC — it is not where your video lives, and no copy of it is ever sent anywhere.
Everything stays on your computer
No video, screenshot, audio, or preference you use with AI Video Upscaler+ is ever stored or transmitted outside your own PC. Every piece of media the app touches — the video you started with, temporary working frames, and the finished result — is stored locally, on your own hard drive:
- Source videos you select are read directly from wherever they already are on your PC and are never copied to us.
- Temporary working frames created while a video is being processed are written to a local working folder and deleted once the job finishes successfully.
- Finished, upscaled videos are saved to
C:\Users\[you]\Videos\AI Video Upscaler+\and stay there until you move or delete them yourself. - Your project history — the list of past upscales shown in the Projects tab, along with the settings used for each — is stored in the desktop app's local data folder.
- Your app preferences — theme, autostart, and processing defaults — are saved locally by the desktop app the moment you change them.
What the browser does — and doesn't do
AI Video Upscaler+'s interface can be opened either inside the desktop app's own window, or in a regular web browser pointed at this website. Either way, exactly as with our other apps, the page you see is only a control surface: it sends your clicks to the desktop app over a connection that stays on your own computer, and displays whatever the desktop app sends back.
The browser does not store your videos or your choices. No cookies are used anywhere on this page. The only thing the browser remembers locally is a couple of small technical flags — for example, whether you've already granted the one-time connection permission your browser may ask for the first time you visit — so you're not asked again on your next visit. Those flags contain no personal data and no video content: just a "yes, this was set up before" marker.
If you close the browser tab, nothing about your videos or settings is lost or exposed — because none of it was ever stored in the browser to begin with. The desktop app keeps running in the background, on your PC, whether or not a browser tab is open.
Network activity
AI Video Upscaler+'s connection to the internet, when it has one, is limited to a small, specific set of purposes:
- The page you're viewing communicates with the desktop app running on your own machine (
127.0.0.1) — even when the connection uses anmlapplications.comaddress for its security certificate, it always connects to your own computer, never to a remote server. - A one-time, periodic check downloads a security certificate needed for this local connection to work.
- The desktop app may check for an updated version of this control page, so the interface can improve without a full app update.
AI Video Upscaler+ includes no analytics and no usage tracking of any kind. We don't know what videos you process, how often you use the app, or what's in your footage.
Fully offline capable
Unlike apps that rely on a cloud AI service to do the actual work, AI Video Upscaler+ does not need the internet to function. All of the AI models it uses are included in the app's initial download package — nothing further is ever downloaded to process a video. Once installed, you can disconnect from the internet entirely and AI Video Upscaler+ will continue to upscale and enhance your videos normally.
All processing happens exclusively on your own PC, using either your machine's RAM or its GPU (graphics card) for the AI computation — never a remote server.
Face restoration
When enabled, AI Video Upscaler+ uses a face-restoration model (GFPGAN) to sharpen and repair faces that are already present in your source video — it enhances detail on existing footage, it does not generate a new likeness or animate a still photo. This restoration happens entirely on your device, frame by frame, as part of the normal upscaling process. No biometric data, face model, or facial data is stored after processing, and none of it is ever transmitted anywhere.
Your settings
Output resolution, face restoration strength, frame-rate interpolation choice, theme, and autostart preference are all saved locally by the desktop app so they're remembered between sessions. You can change or reset any of this at any time from within the app's Settings tab, since it's simply a file on your own computer.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. Since AI Video Upscaler+ doesn't collect contact information from you, we can't notify you directly — checking back here is the way to stay current.
